Flaky Bran is the seed coat or outer layer of a cereal grain. Courser then normal Bran.
- Typically high in phosphorus and low in calcium.
- A very palatable rich source of fibre and vitamin B.
- Should not be fed in excessive amounts due to its extremely high phosphorus content (no more than 500grams per day)
- Excessive phosphorus in the horse’s diet can inhibit calcium absorption.
